A Slewing Bearing is a large diameter anti-friction bearing which is
designed to transmit simultaneously occuring axial, radial and
tilting loads. It replaces traditional systems using fixed and
floating bearings as well as king pin bearings with ring supported
rollers. Ball and Roller Slewing Rings usually have open toothings
as well as a sealed and lubricated raceway system and integrated
fixing holes. Pinions, planetary gears or motors can be integrated
upon request of the customer.
Standard series can be ordered directly. Upon request, special
designs can be consulted and developed with the customer. Internal
or external toothing of the bearing rings are available in modules
from 1 up to 30 mm.
IMO Momentenlager, affiliated company of the IMO group,
manufactures and supplies Ball and Roller Slewing Rings with
diameters from 100 mm up to 5.200 mm in a large variety worldwide.
Slewing Rings are used for example in: Public transportation
systems and precision applications, medical technology or tunnel
boring machines, materials and bulk handling, radar antennas and
as components for special purpose machinery.
